$19 to copy Kate Middleton's Royal tungsten wedding band

FROM champagne tastes to beer budgets, you can get a copy of the world's most famous engagement ring.

Jewellers have been cashing in on the demand for replicas since it was revealed Prince William presented Kate Middleton with his late mother's ring when the couple announced their engagement in November.

Prince Charles paid about £28,500 in 1981 for the original.

Valued at more than £250,000 before Princess Diana's death in 1997, the ring she wore, which now belongs to Ms Middleton, is now believed to be worth £32 million ($49.4 million).

In the lead-up to the April 29 royal wedding replica rings have been big business. A Shiels "Princess Kate" for $349 has proved so popular the jewellery chain has sold more than 700.

However, royal fans can buy cheap and cheerful copies for as little as $9.99 from Lovisa.
Meanwhile Grahams Jewellers has sourced a replica valued at $35,000, for a VIP customer. Inspired by the royal ring it features an 8-carat Corundum deep blue Ceylon sapphire surrounded by 25 Hearts on Fire diamonds set in 18-carat white gold.

Middleton’s blue sapphire engagement ring has spurred a demand for replicas. Montana is the one of the largest American suppliers of the precious gem, with some of them adorning the British Royal jewels. Some copies with actual stones are going everywhere from $1000 to $1.5 million
